(If applicable) Search online for an update/replacement for one or more of the custom item.In Windows, open %USERPROFILE%\ Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages.Looking for a package update, finding an equivalent package from another creator/site, or simply removing the packages, can bring loading times down to less than 5 minutes. When trying to load savefiles with many lots, the game can hang up for quite some time due to what seems to be problems reading info on some custom items that are included in mod packages.

So not just script mods being absent, all. package CC is NOT showing up in game, even though the sims 3 installer cc is showing up. I have deleted the cache package files every time, as instructed, but still no change.ĮTA: I was mistaken - the. I can't figure out what else to do, or why the cfg causes the game to crash when it's in the technically right place, but loads fine when it's in a different place. Then I moved the cfg file *into* the Mods\Packages folder and the game loaded. The game wouldn't load at all, just try to load and exit itself back to the EA launcher. Then I loaded in my other package files, per the instructions in the tutorial, and even the nosparkles and nointro stopped working. When I first tested the nosparkles and nointro scripts, they worked fine. I followed the steps verbatim found in the tutorials here and on MtS.ĬC files are installing and showing up just fine, but script mods are not. I have only base game and Late Night, purchased and downloaded from the EA Store/launcher (same as Sims 4, not the old one).
